Chester Outdoor Learning Center
The Chester Outdoor Learning Center is the result of a cooperative effort between the Nekoosa School District and the Town of Rome.
School district representatives, students, teachers, UWSP LEAF Coordinators, DNR Representatives, town officials and staff have been working since March 2015 to restore the school forest on Alpine Drive.
Plans for the 40 acre parcel include a shelter building, extensive trail system, flora and fauna markers, and an outdoor "theatre" for naturalist programs and entertainment.
For more information regarding this exciting and face-paced project or to get involved contact Mr. Terry Whitemore at email@example.com.
If you are interested in supporting this effort financially please link to the project's "GoFundMe" campaign at gofundme.com/chesterforest.
