Rome, WI (May 27, 2020) – The Town of Rome is excited to announce Brad Martinson will be joining the Town as the new Director of Public Works. Brad will oversee public works/roads, Transfer Site, buildings & grounds, cemeteries, and parks, including Dyracuse. He replaces Jon Sonnenberg who retired in September.
Brad has an Associate’s Degree in civil engineering technology and served as the Wood County Highway Engineer Technician for eight years. Brad currently serves as the Highway Shop Superintendent for Wood County Highway, a position he has held since 2012.
“The Town is eager to have Brad aboard! Brad’s experience in equipment and machinery operations, along with engineering and management skills were an excellent match for this important leadership position which handles a variety of related and vital duties in the Town,” said Town Administrator Jami Gebert.
Brad is a lifelong central Wisconsin resident, and resides in Port Edwards with his wife, Kerri and two children. Outside of his career in local government, Brad enjoys running, hunting, camping, and trapping.
